County contacts are currently being developed. We have made contacts with
most counties and are looking to establish county contacts in all 58 counties.
The county contact will act as a liaison between the SFTS project and the
county/community to monitor training and technical assistance needs regarding children
exposed to violence. A county contact must be a representative from a public
agency, or from a private non-profit organization and be a member of a collaborative
group that deals with children's issues. As a county contact, you will have the opportunity to join a list
serve with other county contacts from all over California to discuss issues
related to children's exposure to violence. In addition, county contacts
may be asked questions by an evaluator about the impact of SFTS in their
county.
If you agree to be a county contact, your name and email will be placed
on a list of contacts in the County Contact section of this web
site. If your county does not have a contact person, please contact
Safe from the Start to discuss the possibility of becoming one.
