Assist local communities to reduce children's exposure to violence and improve the health and well-being of children exposed to violence.

Objectives

• Educate local community/county organizations on the effects of children's exposure to violence.
• Encourage the development of collaborative approaches to reducing children's exposure to violence.
• Assist community/county teams through a process of identifying existing community resources gaps and ideas for new and improved strategies for intervening with children exposed to violence.
• Help communities and counties build or strengthen existing local violence prevention efforts.
• Direct local teams to potential funding sources.
• Identify local needs and provide training and technical assistance.
